Recently, there's a new japanese restaurant open at Ideal's The One.
The proprietress was very friendly that she shared her story to us. She used to work with a japanese company for quite some time and got to know many japanese. After she quit, she partnered with a japanese to open a japanese restaurant in Tanjung Bungah. The business was quite good that they have quite a number of frequent japanese customers in Penang. However, just a months ago, her partner passed away and someone offered to buy her restaurant. She sold it off and opened Kinome here in Bayan Baru.

When I was there, I saw that she interacted in Japanese with a Japanese customer who happened to stay at The One and worked in a japanese company in Bayan Lepas FTZ.
